As we all know that, Free Laptop Scheme by Prime Minister of Pakistan is to facilitate the students in development of their research based projects by providing a direct access to world wide web. This scheme is about to complete its Phase II. Interested candidates who have complete Matric, Intermediate (FA, FSC), Bachelor’s (BA, BSC), Master’s (MBA, MCS, MA, MSC), LLB, BCS, BS and equivalent qualification are eligible to apply for Laptop Scheme in 2016. 60% marks or equivalent CGPA is the minimum required marks percentage required in annual or semester system examination. pmlns.hec.gov.pk laptop scheme 2016.

As per new notification about PM’s Laptop Scheme in Pakistan latest giveaways online registration date is extended to some more time. This decision has been published in continuation of the advertisement published by Higher Education Commission (HEC) Pakistan in National Newspapers on November 01, 2015. Now students are advised to get themselves registered against HEC Laptop Scheme by visiting students portal http://pmnls.hec.gov.pk/ check list of eligible universities and your course (semester) details and fill up the registration form in all respects.

Last Date to Apply For Prime Minister’s Laptop Scheme 2016:
As the date for registration is extended so, students can now proceed with online application forms, upto 10th of January 2016 (Sunday). No application would be entertained submitted beyond the date specified for proforma submission. This is final call for those students who did not get Laptop in Phase-I, to update their profiles, otherwise they would not be considered as an eligible candidates for Laptop Give away. Merit list of eligible candidates would be updated later on at official portal.
Important Details/Instructions:
- Online Registration’s last date for students enrolled in Government colleges and institutes of technology and polytechnic institutes and the colleges falling under Federal Directorate of Education will be announced later on at HEC’s official website (www.hec.gov.pk/laptops).
- Those students who have already applied for the scheme and their status on online student’s portal is showing as “Applied” are advised to contact focal person or administration of university to verify their documents so, that their status may be changed to “Verified” on students portal and they would be considered for.
